The CPWA Board of Directors
Recognizing that a unified voice for public works at the federal level is important to our members, the eight-member CPWA Board of Directors addresses national-level issues and provides outreach throughout Canada. Each Director is appointed by their CPWA chapter as a representative in addressing Canada-wide issues. The mission of the CPWA Board of Directors is advocacy for public works and infrastructure at the national level and outreach for public works on a national scale.
The CPWA Board of Directors meets monthly to identify policy and advocacy issues, and works to build relationships with other stakeholder associations, government agencies and Parliament. CPWA is often asked to provide input to government on issues and policy like the New Building Canada Plan.
As the "Voice of Public Works in Canada," the CPWA Board of Directors often works in collaboration with other stakeholder organizations to highlight issues of mutual concern and to promote infrastructure as one of the economic drivers for the nation.
